P137

The P137 balances modern spatial continuity with the opacity of the materials used in the finishes. Noble woods cover the walls, and the predominant use of blacks, whites, and grays, along with earthy-toned materials, warm the space without resorting to any extravagance. As a result, the coziness of the intimate areas and the compositional elegance of the built spaces coexist in a refined balance.

The dialogue between the comfort of the domestic space and compositional rigor is also represented in two architectural elements central to the arrangement of the house, symbolizing the two compositional poles of this apparent dichotomy between water and fire. The former is represented by the imposing fireplace: a prominent volume in the living room that opens up to the backyard; the latter is embodied in a large water mirror that runs longitudinally through an entrance hall bathed in natural light.
