P520

The P520 house turns itself towards the sea, facing away from the street. Two large glass pavilions create an 'L' shaped volume that draws the terrace surrounded backyard. 

In relation to its seaside placement, the project dealt with the high levels of natural lighting with a selection of clear and light materials, along with the sophisticated modern Brazilian furniture in the interiors. Similarly, the stones covering the floors and walls, and the metallic structure of the building, balance the warmth of the woods employed in the shutters to create a cozy space, suitable for the high temperatures of Rio de Janeiro's seaside.
