P491
P491 is built on a formal restraint that echoes the logic of John Cage’s 4’33”, a piece in which the silence of the instruments highlights the ambient sounds. Architecture steps out of the spotlight to make room for the everyday movements of the home, for the accidental sounds of its inhabitants. The severe composition and clear distinction between spaces reveal intentionality and sophistication.
The interior design takes center stage. Materials and furniture were carefully selected to bring the experience of living to the forefront. Earthy tones, wood, and a few bold elements—such as the Nido armchairs by Paola Lenti—reveal a meticulous arrangement designed to let the warmth of life in the space outweigh the coldness of its form.
